HAM, as i am a Foundation Lic in AUSTRALIA. I have a 10 watt
Limit . This set with the internal speaker is average and the set deserves
an external speaker. Programming by computer is the best way and the
programming can be cloned from another set.
The user manual is
reasonable but I find manually inputing freq's to the memory bank time
consuming, the memory bank has space for 1000 frequency's.
Overall
a very good set and I would recommend to any one.

Own 2 of these 2 meter radios and for the money they cant be beat
.
The only down side is the (giant) heat sink gets rather hot but has
not caused any problems.
Yaesu recently stopped making this model,
however if I needed another 2 meter I would buy another .
