Gun Barrel City, Texas
- Henderson County Area Ham Radio License Exams
The Cedar Creek Amateur Radio Club
located in Gun Barrel City, Henderson County Texas is offering VE ham
radio license testing for all classes of ham radio licenses for a large
part of rural East Texas.
Gun Barrel City, is centrally
located on the shores of Cedar Creek Reservoir between
Corsicana, Ennis, Kaufman, Canton and Athens. It has a small
town atmosphere that welcomes you to come here for your first ham
radio license exam or to upgrade your present amateur radio
license.
The Cedar Creek amateur radio
club is an ARRL affiliated ham radio club and we invite you to
schedule your ham radio license exam session with our
VE's.
At present, we
do not have regular testing schedules or dates.
You will have to contact George Yarger, W5BRG to set
up a license exam session at the email address below. He will do
his best to accommodate
you.
Testing can be scheduled mostly on
an as needed basis, but if demand requires it, regular testing dates may
be offered.
You must contact George at
brotherg AT gmail.com for more
details.
Exam fee is $10.00 to help defray the expenses of the
VE's.
You will need to bring an I.D. and a license if you are
upgrading to a higher class license!
There is
no age minimum for getting your ham radio license!
You are not
required to join our Cedar Creek
Lake Amateur Radio Club but we will welcome you into our ranks and
friendship! The Cedar Creek Ham Radio Club operates a 2 meter repeater on
146.900Mhz, PL 136.5 and covers a wide area around the Cedar Creek lake
and beyond.
So if you
live in or near our area, and want to get your Technician, General or
Extra class ham radio license, then send George, W5BRG, an email. He will
be happy to help you get started on your way to getting your ham radio
license or upgrade!
Come join us
for ham radio fun! I did, N4UJW.
